Joel Katz

Joel Katz, born in South Africa, has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. After graduating, up until his emigration to Israel in 1978, he successfully ran a number of private companies and was also active in the Jewish community, particularly ORT (SA).

 

In Israel Joel was Chairman and co-leader of the team that established the Beth Protea Retirement Home (Herzliya) for former South Africans living in Israel. He was also a member of World ORT Union and a member of the Exec Committee ORT Israel.

 

For fifteen years, up until his retirement, he was the Israel representative of Rothschild Bank AG, Zurich. Today, Joel enjoys photography, expedition travel and golf.
